How to change ringtone on Android 6.0 Marshmallow?
First, we'll tell you how to put the desired ringtone on a call on "pure" Android 6.0. On Android 7.0 Nougat, the principle is exactly the same.
1. Go to "Settings", "Sounds and Notifications" (or just "Sounds"). To the right of the “General” profile name, click on the settings gear.
2. Click on "Ringtone" and select "Open with Media Vault" in the pop-up window.

1. Go to "Contacts" and select right person. In the upper right corner of the profile there are three menu dots - click on them.
2. In the window that appears, select "Set Ringtone".
3. The system will prompt you to select an application through which you will search for the desired melody. Choose a file manager or do everything in the same way as described in the first paragraph.
As you can see, putting music or a ringtone on your Android smartphone is very simple - it won't take more than a couple of minutes.
