Do-it-yourself beaded postcards: step-by-step MK with photos and videos. We draw a postcard with beads

Beadwork is an amazing thing - imperceptibly addictive, but true and strong. And it turns out: yesterday you asked for “embroidery cloth” in the store, and today you not only know that this “rag” is called canvas, but your entire computer is full of embroidery patterns, a bunch of kits have accumulated in the bins that are waiting for their turn.

And among other things - floss, canvas, hoops, beads and other, other joy. And it's not enough! I want to embroider everything! But you understand that, already what has accumulated is more than enough for a lifetime!

And they are so beautiful, so different! For example, relatively simple embroidery can be replaced with beads. In one interesting edition of the author Osadchenko V. “All about beadwork” describes an interesting technique for creating a beaded postcard using a backstitch under the beads.

That is, first the pattern is embroidered with a backstitch, and then the image is embroidered on it with beads. The result can be seen at the very beginning of the post.

With this approach, the author recommends that the following conditions be observed:
- the backstitch is sewn to the floss in 3-4 additions. Then the seam turns out to be thick and is clearly visible through. The floss threads should also be dark.
- for embroidery, transparent beads are taken, preferably as light as possible;
- you need to embroider with a fishing line so as not to violate the transparency of the embroidery.

First you need to prepare materials for beading:
- pieces of canvas;
- dark brown floss for a hare, and dark orange and dark brown for a snail;
- fishing line;
- beads (colors are indicated in the key to the scheme).

The floss is folded into three or four threads and all contours are sewn off. Stitches should be kept short. At the end of the sewing of the contour, they begin to work with beads. It is worth choosing the lightest shades of transparent beads so that they do not obscure the contour, with the exception of the contrasting details of the pattern.

For example, in the diagram of a hare, this is a nose and eyes, it is better to make them from two dark brown beads. For embroidery, it is better to use fishing line, not thread, as the fishing line is transparent and will not be visible on the embroidery. It is also interesting to read how biscornu is embroidered, there you will also find various patterns for biscornu and zigugu.

To fix the fishing line, its tips are melted with a match - a thickening appears at the end. Then the fishing line is threaded through a small and thin bead. Then the needle is brought out from the inside to the front side at the beginning of the embroidery - the resulting mechanism will secure the fishing line.

If the fishing line ends in the process of embroidery, then do the same. This method of beadwork is not suitable for all patterns. But if the picture is conceived in light colors and suitable for embroidery with transparent beads, you can use this method.

So, beadwork with backstitch is ready! They make lovely postcards.

To make an embroidered card with beads you will need:
- cardboard;
- thick paper
- ribbons of different colors;
- sequins;
- PVA.

The canvas is cut to a rectangular shape of the desired size, the edges are smeared with PVA glue. A sheet of colored cardboard is cut into two parts, folded in half - the basis for the postcard is obtained. Pieces of canvas with embroidery are glued on top, the edges are closed with tape.

The ends of the tape are closed from the inside with thick paper. Decorate the card with decorative flowers, sequins, rhinestones.

The idea is taken from the book by V. Osadchenko “All about beads. Original author's products»

Foreword:
A greeting card is a small but very important element of any holiday, because it is it that creates a unique atmosphere of celebration and even after many years is able to resurrect a long-forgotten holiday in our memory. And a New Year's card is able to convey to everyone who received it a wonderful feeling of a fairy tale, a miracle and childhood.
But have you ever thought about where the tradition of giving cards came from, what is the history of the New Year card?
And its history began in Ancient China, where two thousand years ago, on the first day after the celebration of the New Year, it was customary to congratulate those who could not be seen at the holiday with red cards. On the eve of the holiday, the owner of the house hung a bag near the door especially for these cards, on which it was written: “Excuse me for not being able to personally accept it.”
However, the tradition of exchanging New Year's cards appeared much later in England. On the eve of the New Year, Henry Cole turned to his friend John Gersley with a request to draw something interesting with a New Year theme. And his friend drew the first postcard in history with congratulations for the New Year. From this sketch, the first batch of New Year's cards from a thousand copies was printed in London. Since then, the custom of congratulating your loved ones and friends on the New Year with postcards has conquered the whole world. However, for each country, this tradition gradually acquired its own characteristic national features.
In Japan, for example, there is a tradition of giving cards before the New Year with the image of an animal that corresponds to this year according to the eastern horoscope. Residents of the Land of the Rising Sun send hundreds of such New Year's cards to each other. They usually thank their relatives and friends for all the good things that happened in the past year, and express the hope for the continuation of friendly relations in the future.
In Austria, it is a very common custom to send out New Year's cards with national symbols of happiness. Such postcards usually feature a chimney sweep, a four-leaf clover, and a pig.
And the owner of the largest collection of New Year's cards, the Guinness Book of Records calls the Canadian Bout, who collected 205,120 copies.
Today, New Year's cards are made in a variety of techniques: metal, silk, holography. Relief, voluminous, musical postcards have become familiar. There are special services of graphic designers for the production of exclusive New Year's cards.
A card is an obligatory component of every gift, reflecting your thoughts and desires. A handmade New Year's card can not only decorate your gift, but in some cases completely replace it.

Work sequence.

Stage 1 - preparing the basis for a future postcard.
1. Fold the cardboard in half.

2. Come up with and draw a sketch that would reflect the New Year mood of your postcard, taking into account the fact that the design will consist of twigs made using the looped weaving technique.
3. Glue a paper window in a matching color to the front of the card. The window can be pasted over with a strip of decorative mesh or tape.

2nd stage - weaving branches for the Christmas tree.
1. Take a wire 15-20 cm long, string 10 green beads on its middle.

2. Fold the wire into a loop and twist under the beads several times. The first loop is ready.

3. Then, at each end of the wire along its entire length, make the same loops. The distance between the loops should be about 1 cm. To imitate Christmas toys, string large beads in a loop with beads in random order. Large beads can also be strung separately by twisting the wire directly under them. Instead of beads, you can use glass beads or cuttings to make a loop.

4. Connect the ends of the wire together and twist them. When twisting into a bundle of two wires, they should evenly wrap around each other.

5. Run 2 pairs of branches with 3, 5, 7 and 9 loops.

Stage 3 - postcard design.
1. Draw an center line in the postcard window, relative to which the branches will be laid.

2. Lay out the branches, starting with the smallest number of loops, on both sides of the center line, bending them in the form of a Christmas tree crown. Glue the branches to the postcard with a thermal gun or superglue.

3. Run another branch of the desired length (9-11 loops).

4. Glue this branch to the center line, covering the ends of the wires from the previous branches.

5. Straighten the loops, forming a crown. Make a postcard.

Postcard is ready!
Happy New Year!

Traditionally, beads are used to create fine jewelry or embroidery, but today we decided to break the stereotypes. And why not make a New Year's card from beads. Shiny miniature beads will add shine and sophistication to the product. Although painstaking work awaits us, the result should amaze the imagination of relatives and friends, and a hand-made souvenir will be remembered for a long time.

New Year card from beads

Before starting work, it is necessary to prepare materials. We will need:

  • base for a postcard
  • beads
  • thread and needle
  • sheet of metallized paper or foil
  • pen, marker or pencil
  • figured hole punch - star (optional)

The basis for a future New Year's card can be made from ordinary smooth white cardboard or you can buy a scrapbooking cardstock. You choose the size and shape. We took gold beads, red or green also looks great. Threads for work should be transparent nylon.

The nature of the pattern depends entirely on your imagination, we preferred the Christmas tree, Christmas wreaths look original, but larger beads are needed for them.

We make a postcard from beads with our own hands, photo

We begin work on the craft by taking a cardboard sheet, using a pencil and a ruler, we outline the triangular outline of the future embroidery.

Poke a hole in the bottom corner, pull out the thread and string beads on it. Pull the thread to the top of the triangle, pierce the cardboard and make a knot on the wrong side, thereby securing the beads. Do the same on the opposite side, form the base of the triangle.

When the frame is ready, stretch the strands of beads inside.

As a result, the drawn triangle should be filled in, and you will get the original beaded Christmas tree pattern.

Using a soft eraser, carefully erase the pencil marks.

It is impossible to imagine a Christmas tree without a luxurious top. Take a sheet of foil and use a figured hole punch to make an asterisk.

If there is no tool at hand, draw the outline yourself or use a stencil and cut it out with scissors, you need to take sharp, manicure ones. Glue the Christmas decoration to the very top of the tree.

The beaded New Year's card is almost ready, it remains only to sign the congratulation.

If you are not good at calligraphy, you can purchase a special sticker for scrapbooking or print the inscription and frame from the Internet and stick it on.

Pay attention to the following photo. Beaded New Year cards are made in gold and silver colors. Choose the shade that you like best, copy or create your own unique masterpieces.

Nadezhda Vasilyeva

This postcard can be done for any holiday.

From an old calendar, I cut out rectangles about 24 by 15. I folded them in half.

Acrylic brown (you can add yellow shades) painted a tree trunk. Everything else was done by the children.

We place the basis for postcards in a candy box (to the beads did not crumble) . In the place where the foliage will be, with a brush we apply thick PVA glue with islands. Pour dark green on these places beads. For rash beads It is also good to use a box with a corner. Then we make new islands with glue and pour light green beads. Remains beads collect and glue again. We do the same for land. Use 2 shades of brown beads. We are like that postcards did dads on February 23. From the old postcards kids cut out inscriptions: "Beloved Dad", "From February 23", "Congratulations".

Ships and tanks were also cut out. You can print the inscriptions on a computer, and so that the white sheet does not stand out, we age the inscription with tea leaves - it also turns out very interesting! All this was glued to the base - they turned out pretty DIY postcards. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me.

The technique is very simple, and the children really liked the result, so we plan to make such postcards to the Victory Day for Veterans.

Thank you for your attention!

Small handmade gifts are always nice and pleasant, because they are made individually for a certain person, love, attention and sincere attitude are read in them. Do-it-yourself postcards for the New Year are especially good.

Since this is a magical holiday, the postcards should look the same. Therefore, it is very good to use white beads on a contrasting background (in this case, green) to create crafts.

For work you will need:

A sheet of green cardboard;

White small beads (about 5-10g);

PVA glue;

Decorative stars;

Blue quilling paper;

Scissors;

Toothpick.

How to make a New Year's card with your own hands

We form a postcard from a sheet of green cardboard.

We glue blue thin strips of paper vertically on both sides, retreat from the edge about 2 cm.

From paper, cut out the layout of the Christmas tree at your discretion. We outline it along the contour.

We apply a greasy layer of PVA glue over the entire surface of the painted Christmas tree. Leave this layer of glue for about a minute so that it becomes thicker.

Sprinkle the entire adhesive surface with beads.

You can pour beads abundantly, since the remains will still need to be shaken off. We are waiting for the beads to stick. What is not stuck - shake off. Where necessary, add glue and add beads. Next, with a toothpick, carefully adjust the Christmas tree along the contours.

We give the tree a curly shape. This is the most painstaking work in creating this postcard, you need to be patient and make a beautiful figure.
If the beads do not stick well, then you can pour a little glue on top of the beads, distribute it with a toothpick on the desired beads.

When the Christmas tree is ready, you can move on to the decor. We make a decorative strip for the inscription from a blue strip of paper for quilling, for which we twist the ends of a short piece of paper, glue the strip on a postcard under the Christmas tree.

On vertical paper strips pasted on postcards, we glue decorative blue and silver stars.

Now you need to make curls for the corner of the card. To do this, you need to cut a toothpick, insert quilling paper into it. Twist the curl to half of the tape, pull out the toothpick, and then twist the paper into a roll on the other side.

Make two such curl blanks, straighten them a little and insert into each other. Press the base with your fingers.

Glue the resulting curls to the upper left corner of the postcard.

All! Do-it-yourself Christmas tree-bead card is ready!

Happy and merry New Year celebrations!
