Tiny Preface
I spent all my childhood in the countryside. Rural life is familiar to me, so writing on this topic is easy and pleasant. In these stories there is something from my childhood, so to speak, my adventures, but something is fiction. I will be glad if you like my stories. I plan to write a whole book about the rural adventures of the city girls Alena and Nastya. Here is the first chapter, there will be a sequel. Come, read, comment.

"Hooray! Here comes the summer! Finally, you don’t have to get up early in the morning for school, and Nastya for kindergarten. You can now sleep until noon. I can’t even believe it, ”I thought, sitting at the dinner table and eating semolina. Nastya is my younger sister. She is five years old. Since autumn, I am going to gnaw at the granite of science in the third grade, and my sister will go to kindergarten for another year. Little one in a word.
Sitting in the kitchen, I enjoyed the sunny weather. Dangling her legs, from time to time she glanced out the window at a flock of merrily chirping sparrows. “It’s good for them,” I continued to think, “where they wanted, they flew there. No one tells them what to do and when. Freedom is great."
“Today we will go to the dacha,” Mom said.
- To what dacha? I was surprised.
“Hello,” my mother looked at me with a smile. - My dad and I recently bought a house in the village. Today we will go to live it. We talked about this all evening yesterday. Haven't you heard?
- No, - I was confused. However, as I could hear, after all, I spent the whole evening on the phone. Verka's friend told me about her new boyfriend from the parallel class. She wrote that he was so cool, handsome, smart. I knew who she was talking about, read her messages and did not interrupt. In fact, I could tell her a lot about her new beau, but I decided not to disappoint. In fact, he was not so handsome as Verka described him to me. I saw him the other day with Tanya, our neighbor, so he didn’t look like a prince at all. Small, fat, red, freckled and with big ears that stuck out from him like an elephant. Oh, Verka, Verka. She has some misconceptions about beauty. Besides, I wouldn't call him smart either. As far as I know, he is in danger of being stuck in second grade for another year. Tanka told me this in secret yesterday. Werke, I did not talk about it. It's not my policy to destroy someone else's privacy.
- Clear. You, as always, were not with us, - mother shook her head and put porridge on a plate for Nastya.
The news about the rest of the city made me very happy. For a long time I have been dreaming of a summer vacation in the countryside. Tired of every year with the girls in the yard hanging out on a swing and playing with dolls. I wanted a vegetable garden, a flower bed and a dog. “In the village, my mother, for sure, will allow me to have a dog. It is in the city that she needs to be walked, and there she runs off for a walk when she wants, ”I smiled and imagined how Nastya and I would go to the forest, pick berries and mushrooms. Eh, grace.
- What time are we leaving? I asked. “I have more things to collect.
- What is it? Mom smiled.
- Well, how. Phone ... - I began.
- We will not take anything with us except clothes. One phone is enough for us, dad's. There you will have many other things to do. Don't forget about the phone.
- Okay, - of course, I was upset that I was left without a means of communication with Verka. But what to do? Somehow I'll survive.

And then the hour came when the whole family loaded bags with things into our car and went to the village. Nastya persuaded her mother to take the young doctor's kit with her.
- All our bags are full. There are dolls in your backpack. There is nowhere to put the doctor's kit.
- It must be taken. I will treat local old women. You never know. Suddenly there is no paramedic. I'll get settled instead of him, - Nastya frowned.
Mom waved her hand, indicating that she could do what she wanted. Nastya has been looking for a place for a small bag with syringes, scissors, a scalpel, a stethoscope and other medical devices for a long time. Finally, she hung it on her dad's seat by threading the handles of the bag through the headrest. The bag did not interfere with dad, because it hung just from the side of Nastya, who was sitting behind him.
City streets quickly flashed before my eyes. Why admire them. I've seen them a hundred times already. But as soon as we drove out of town and opened the windows, my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. It's good, how. There were trees along the road. They were mostly maples, among which ranetki with white or pinkish flowers peeped out, in some places lilac bushes flickered in bright spots. Dandelions turned yellow from the road to the trees. Sometimes we met cows. They peacefully plucked the grass and looked at the cars passing by. I wanted us to buy ourselves a cow too. Her milk is not pasteurized, but always fresh.
- Is it still far? - Nastya asked her parents again, fidgeting in her chair and pulling her seat belts. - I'm already tired. When will we arrive?
- Soon. We'll be back soon, my mother said. - You'll like it there.
- Are we going to the river? - Nastya continued to pester.
- Necessarily. And to the river, and to the forest, - my mother smiled.
- If we succeed. After all, we still need to weed the beds, water, fertilize, make preparations for the winter, and there is a lot of work around the house in the village, not like in the city. Water must be applied, the oven must be heated, - I interrupted my mother.
- How do you know everything? - Nastya was surprised.
- Yes. Where? You're going to the village for the first time, - my mother laughed.
- From the media. The other day, I watched a video on the internet how my grandmother and grandfather made a well. The whole village helped them. Everyone is friendly there, not like in the city.
I enjoyed my knowledge of the village. Even from the Internet, but still it's better than nothing.
Suddenly, a hare ran across the road. Dad slowed down. Nastya's handbag with medical devices rose sharply and flew forward, hitting dad on the head, and then bounced back again and returned to its original position. Dolls from the backpack that lay between us fell down, under my feet, and one of my mother's false eyelashes came off.
- Yo-mayo, they almost crushed the big-eared one, - dad got scared. “And something else hit me hard on the head. Dad scratched the back of his head.
He quickly got out of the car, looked around, as if expecting the hare to return and apologize for crossing the road in the wrong place.
When dad returned, he asked us what it was that flew to him from above. Nastya was silent, afraid that she would be scolded. After all, it was her toys that flopped on her father's head.
“It was a neurological hammer that hit you so that you could look at the road more carefully,” my mother answered seriously. - By the way, if you have a concussion, then upon arrival at the dacha, Nastya will examine you and carry out the necessary procedures. I saw her recently treated a neighbor's cat, which was obese. So after that incident, after going out into the street, he immediately climbed a tree and sat high on the branches, which he could not do earlier because of his great weight. I don’t know if the treatment helped him or the fear of Nastya’s medical methods.
- No need. I'm fine, said my dad. I have been afraid of injections since childhood. I don't like tablets.
He clearly did not want to be treated.
- The hare and the trace caught a cold. You can go further, - returning to the reason for their stop, Nastya muttered with displeasure.
“You didn’t think that he would wave his tail and ask him for a ride,” I chuckled.
- Would you like to ask? It would be fun. We would take him to the dacha with us,” she said dreamily.
- Yeah. Every morning he would tickle your heels with his long ears. We would have instead of an alarm clock, - I showed Nastya my tongue.
I imagined how the hare tickled the heels of dad, mom and Nastya, trying to wake them up. Nastya sleeps with us, wakes up in the garden in the morning with tears, but here she would wake up with laughter. Although no. What am I. We don't need a rabbit. We will sleep until dinner, as we dreamed earlier.

We drove two hours from the city to our destination.
- Here you see the gray roofs of houses. We're here, Mom told us.
“Get ready to land,” Dad laughed.
- Potatoes? I asked.
“And potatoes, too,” dad continued to laugh.

As time went. The girl continued to live high in the mountains. She forgot that she was an Angel in the past. I remembered only about my dream to know what love is. Indeed, it was for this reason that she violated the laws of the Almighty, left heaven and descended to earth. Having become a man, the girl continued to dream about this great feeling. In her dreams, she often heard the words "I love you" from a stranger dear to her heart. Waking up, every time I tried to remember his face, but I could not.

AND THE HEART CONTINUES TO LIVE

Tasha pushed her diary away from her, where she once again wrote a letter to her beloved. There were tears in the eyes. Several tears managed to fall on the page with the letter and blurred, catching the ink of the black paste, from which some words became cloudy and incomprehensible. The girl didn't even notice. Her thoughts were far away. She relived her first love again and again. So sad ending.

      CHRONICLES FROM THE WINDOWSILL

Exactly. I am a flower fairy from the country of Merry Drop! the girl confirmed.
      - What is your name? asked Cyclamen.
      - Mmmm, Daisy! the fairy giggled, then quickly added, “Oh, no. My name is Rio Rita.
      - How so? Cyclamen squinted incredulously. - Daisy or is it Rio Rita?
      - Call me Rio-Ri! The fairy giggled even more.
Are you fooling us? Cyclamen was offended.
      - No. What do you. It’s just that every day I come up with a new name for myself, - the fairy sat down on the edge of the Cactus flower pot.

      RURAL ADVENTURES

I expected more. I hoped to enter the fence and gasp “What a beauty”, but it turned out differently.
      - Wow. There are burdocks all around, - I was upset when I saw thorns and thickets of carrots.
      - No one has lived here for a long time. We will put things in order here, and it will become beautiful, - said my mother. She walked towards the house with her bags. Of course, we were not far behind.
The dilapidated porch, as soon as we stepped on it, creaked terribly. I was even afraid that it would crumble under us. But I was afraid in vain, as the future showed, it is even more alive than all the living.

In our country, the topic of migration of the population to the countryside is tiring for many. For many years, the media have been discussing the topic of agro-towns, in the construction of which a lot of taxpayers' money has been invested. Probably, there is no Belarusian who, visiting relatives in the village or simply traveling through the expanses of our homeland, did not see with his own eyes this village miracle of the construction thought of the beginning of the new millennium. And the cart, as they say, is still there- houses have been set up, communications have been brought down, social services have been improved, and for some reason the townspeople are in no hurry to go to the village. One question - why? What keeps the newly minted (after all, 45 years ago, 56.7% of our country lived in rural areas) residents of "megacities" in densely populated stone jungles?

For the majority of Belarusians (especially those of inexorable age), the answer is clear and obvious - money!!! Large cities have more job opportunities and higher incomes, and there are also plenty of places where all the income you earn can be quickly and easily spent. Therefore, if we evaluate the level of income and expenses in rural and urban areas, then the income from earnings can be almost the same, and whether the game is worth the candle when moving to the city from the countryside is not yet known.

Caring parents can say that the city has more places for entertainment and recreation for the whole family, and the child can get a more diverse education. But let's be honest - how often the average city dweller can and wants to attend entertainment events, and many choose a school closer to home, not to mention various circles that working parents simply do not have time and energy to take. And what then is the difference between the lifestyle of rural and urban children? After all, any resident of the countryside can take their children to classes in nearby cities (which in time can be comparable to the road through a large city). But the air in the village is cleaner, and there is more room for children's fantasies, and it is more difficult to please a car.

Well, the main issue is, of course, housing. Many townspeople huddle in small apartments, often rented or rented, while in the countryside there are many empty houses, and it will be cheaper to build your dream home than in the city. If we take into account that more and more villages are equipped with communications (gas and water supply, Internet coverage area) every year, then in solving the housing issue, the advantage is on the side of rural areas

It turns out that life in the village, especially if you have money, is not so bad. It remains to be understood how in rural areas it is possible to earn at least the average wage for the country.

  • Firstly , you can engage in a historically established type of labor activity - agriculture, which, with proper physical exertion, will bring a decent income;
  • Secondly , you can go into agro-ecotourism, which, with sufficient cash injections and the right marketing strategy, will also ensure a comfortable existence;
  • Third , living in the countryside is very suitable for people who are not tied to a specific workplace (freelancers, artisans, freelance artists).

The conclusion is clear - "life beyond the Moscow Ring Road" also exists, and it is no worse than life in a stone anthill. Many residents of Western metropolitan areas have already understood this and are actively moving to the countryside. How quickly this process will begin in our country depends on you and me, because all the prerequisites for the development of rural areas on the part of the state have already been made and the only thing left is to change the prejudices of Belarusians in relation to life in rural areas. Only when our relationship with you changes, driving along the roads of Belarus, we will be able to see not empty houses and a few lonely old people on benches, but village streets full of life and children's laughter.
