MK - How to make callas from cotton pads and colored paper

Such a simple option for creating calla lilies from cotton pads and colored paper is suitable for children both 2-4 years old and 5-10 years old. If there are no cotton pads at hand, but the child liked the idea of creating callas, then you can replace this material with plain paper, felt or fabric

Good afternoon to all blog readers!

It is always a pleasure to make an interesting handicraft with the baby from improvised means. Let's not be wise and sophisticated. Take the available material - cotton pads. Every mother will find them and practice in unusual and interesting creativity. Let's make a bouquet - callas from cotton pads

DIY gift to grandmother by March 8

A little earlier we talked about. I already taught you as a gift for mom for the holiday. Well, how to leave your beloved grandmother without a gift? So, today I want to invite you to make another bouquet of flowers together with your baby, but this time it will be callas.

Such a bouquet will be a good gift from a little creator not only on March 8, but also on his birthday. And just any other day. After all, it will delight you with its simplicity and is not at all complicated in execution.

Use of lesson materials with older children

A child of 2-4 years old can make such flowers, and with your help, an older child, 5-7 years old, can already be entrusted with cutting out details for flowers and making out a postcard. Let him fantasize here. It develops creative thinking.

Children 8-10 years old will cope with the work completely on their own and will already be able to make a whole bunch of similar flowers. You just have to control a little and guide the actions of your child with advice, not forgetting to praise and approve the steps that he will take on his own.

Encouraging your baby or older child, you give him confidence and inspiration. Working in such a mood, children will more than once strive to take up creative needlework. Your task is only to support and encourage their aspirations.

Thus, you create a reserve for the future - the habit of working, the desire to sit out time not only for modern gadgets, but also the need to create beautiful and useful things with your own hands.

And so we proceed to the volumetric application of cotton pads.

MK - callas from cotton pads and colored paper

Materials required for work

  1. colored paper green and yellow
  2. Paper or cardboard for the base
  3. Three cotton pads
  4. Pencil
  5. Scissors

Manufacturing stages - callas from cotton pads

  • We prepare the base. We select paper or cardboard of such a color that it is in harmony with the flowers. The base may be in the form of sheet A 4, which is folded in half. It will become a postcard in the future, where beautiful voluminous flowers from improvised material will be placed on the front.

  • Then cut out stems and leaves from a green sheet of paper. They can be made the same size using a template, or arbitrarily cut immediately from a green sheet of paper.

  • Glue the stems to the base in different directions.
  • We bend the leaves in half to obtain a central fold
  • Glue them to the front of the card between the stems of flowers

  • Now let's make grass at the bottom of the card. To do this, cut out a long strip of green double-sided paper.
  • We will make a fringe with scissors

  • Glue at the bottom of the future postcard
  • Let's slightly correct the shape of the grass

Making a flower

  • Cut out three stamens from yellow paper
  • Then we take cotton pads. In the middle we glue ready-made yellow stamens
  • Folding the left side
  • Apply glue to fix
  • Glue the right side

Here are the flower buds

  • Glue the buds to the stems

Callas from cotton pads and colored paper are ready

Each element perfectly complements the entire flower arrangement on the front of the card. However, congratulatory words on its upper part will not be superfluous. And inside, because we bent the sheet in half, you can write poetry.

That's all. Agree, it's not hard at all.

Such work can be entrusted to older children with kids. For example, 12-14 years old, they can handle it. And thus you can take care of the preparations for the holiday. After all, children are busy doing interesting things.

Imagine if you instruct them to make postcards and gifts for both grandmothers, sisters ... As we do, she can do and come up with all kinds of crafts just on the go, because she learns looking at her mother and her crafts

You will have enough time to do your own thing. If your children are interested in creativity.

Here, you can finish the lesson for today.

All the best to you. Kind, creative and obedient children and grandchildren.

The buttons of social networks have not disappeared ... They are always below the article. And do not forget to check if you are subscribed to new creative master classes for yourself and your children or grandchildren. I have many more in store for you.

Here are just a few of the new crafts that I photographed at Zoya's this weekend, she prepared them for the fair by March 8th. And I plan to teach you how to make such beauty.

Today we will tell you how to make elegant white paper callas with your own hands. Such flowers perfectly emphasize all the restraint of the design of minimalist interiors. You can place a bunch of paper callas, unlike real ones, even in a dark corner of the apartment. They absolutely do not require any maintenance, and will delight you for a long time.

First, let's prepare the necessary materials:

  • ordinary white paper;
  • yellow crepe paper;
  • green corrugated paper;
  • cardboard;
  • marker;
  • scissors;
  • pencil with eraser;
  • a piece of wire 20-25 cm long;
  • hot glue gun.

How to make paper callas with your own hands

Step 1. Let's start by creating a calla pedicel. The prepared piece of wire is carefully wrapped with a thin strip of green crepe or corrugated paper.

Step 2. At the end of the wire, using the same paper strip, create a wide pestle.

Step 3. Cut a strip of 1-1.5 cm wide from yellow crepe paper. We process the green calla pistil with the resulting ribbon.

Step 4. To create a petal, you need to make a template from high density paper.

First, with a simple pencil, we make a sketch of a petal in the form of a droplet. On its right side we create several smooth bends. Next, we circle the pencil outline of the petal with a marker, and erase the extra lines with an eraser.

Cut out the template along the finished contour.

Step 5. Draw a pencil around its outline on a sheet of white paper. We finish the long and thin tip of the petal by hand.

Then we cut out the part.

Step 6. With an eraser, erase the remnants of the pencil lines.

Step 7. After we apply burning glue to the bottom of the pestle and attach it to the white petal as shown in the photo.

Step 8. We connect the side parts of the petal together. We fix them with glue.

Step 9. To decorate the receptacle, we need a wide green corrugated strip. We stretch it so that all the folds disappear, and then glue it to the base of the bud.

We process the entire length of the pedicel with it.

Step 10. The long tip on the petal is slightly twisted.

Even a child can make beautiful callas from cotton pads. This simple craft will be a great gift for mom or grandmother, teacher or caregiver, especially for any holiday, for example, on March 8th.

However, if you will be using hot glue from a heat gun to assemble the parts, then leave these steps to yourself. You can entrust the child with the first steps, where you need to prepare the stems and decorate the stamens. Then, together, create flowers from blanks to get a bouquet of callas from cotton pads.

Necessary materials:

  • three cotton pads;
  • green corrugated paper;
  • green plastic drinking straw;
  • cotton buds;
  • yellow gouache;
  • tassel;
  • scissors;
  • hot glue gun.

Stages of making a bouquet:

  1. As a stem, take a ready-made object - one plastic tube for a cocktail. Its color must certainly be any shade of green, so that the craft looks natural and beautiful. We divide one tube into three equal parts. Of these, in the future, stems for flowers will be obtained.

  1. Now we paint cotton buds with yellow gouache. This is necessary to give the desired color to the calla stamens. In order for the paint to dry faster and soak into the cotton part of the object, add a couple of drops of PVA glue to the gouache. Stir and apply the resulting mixture with a brush.

  1. We place one end of a cotton swab in the middle of a plastic drinking tube. Then we place one cotton pad at the bottom.

  1. So we will do with the other two blanks.

  1. We fill the drinking tubes with hot glue to fix the cotton swabs in one position. Then glue this blank to a cotton pad. We twist at the base and apply hot glue for reliability.

  1. Then cut out a thin strip of green corrugated paper. We wrap each plastic tube, which is the stem of a flower, with corrugated paper and fix it with hot glue from a thermal gun.

  1. Cut out a large sheet of green crepe paper. We put all the flowers together to make a bouquet. Glue the sheet at the base of the bouquet. We give the necessary form.

It is always pleasant to make a pleasant surprise for relatives, especially women. A win-win option is a bouquet of flowers. But we will not cut off the nearest flower beds (in no case should this be done!) And we will also leave flowers to grow in the clearing. After all, there are cotton pads, which are a very malleable material for children's crafts. In particular, you can make pretty callas out of them. Children from the older groups of the kindergarten can easily cope with such a craft. Who cares, but we make a basket with callas with our own hands.

Materials and tools:

Cotton buds;
- cotton pads;
- green colored paper;
- colored cardboard;
- scissors;
- a simple pencil;
- paints;
- brush;
- a pen (felt-tip pen) of black color;
- glue stick and PVA.

Do-it-yourself basket with calla flowers: a step-by-step master class

If the basket will be drawn on its own, then you will also need a ruler with which you can draw it proportionally. It's easier to use ready-made template on which to cut a basket out of cardboard (it is better to use thick cardboard or take two sheets of ordinary cardboard and glue them together).

We take five cotton swabs (it is advisable to take plastic ones, they are softer, but wooden ones are quite suitable). We decorate one cotton tip with yellow paint and leave the sticks to dry.

While the sticks, which will be calla stamens, are drying, we cut out 5 leaves from colored green paper.

To give the leaves texture, we cut them around the perimeter with a fringe.

We also add texture to the basket. With a black pen (felt-tip pen) we make arcuate stripes on the handle of the basket and on the main part of the basket - this will be an imitation of weaving.

We take two leaves and glue them on opposite sides of the basket.

By this time, the paint on cotton swabs should dry and you can start making callas. All gluing actions with paper can be done with a glue stick. When working with cotton pads, it is better to use PVA glue. We cut it off if it is a plastic leg or break it off if it is wooden, one cotton tip is about a third of a stick. We take a cotton pad, put a stick in the middle (it is not necessary to glue it), drip glue into the bottom of the disk and turn the right side at an angle. Then again we drip glue and turn the left side at an angle - we get a calla flower.

First, we glue three flowers - one exactly in the middle, and the side ones at a slight slope in the opposite direction from the central flower.

Glue the remaining callas under the three flowers.

It remains to glue the remaining three leaves, which we glue on the lower callas.

Here we have successfully completed our craft. The flower basket is ready! You can go and please your dear person with a pleasant surprise. Creative success and let your life be full of pleasant surprises!

Beautiful crafts from cotton pads, flowers: roses, daisies, callas - look like real ones. And you can’t even say that such a bouquet was made from the most ordinary hygienic cotton pads and that even a preschooler (of course, along with adults) can do a similar miracle.

Beautiful roses from cotton pads - a step-by-step master class

To make a stem, take a two-wire wire 35-40 cm long, and divide it into two separate veins about 10 cm long - in the future it will be a stem and a twig with leaves. Next, strip one of the veins by 5 centimeters to the wire and screw 2 more leaf wires to it with pliers. If you have a husband at hand, you can involve him in the manufacture of the frame of the future rose, since he is probably more accustomed to wielding pliers with wire

To make the stem of the flower look more natural, it must be wrapped with green thread, at least No. 40 thick.

Now let's get to the fun part - the formation of a rosebud. To do this, pour water into the bowl and paint it with paint for Easter eggs (in our case, yellow, orange, red). If there was no paint at hand, you can use ordinary gouache diluted with water or experiment with other dyes.

Squeeze the painted disk a little with your fingers from excess water, and then apply it to the upper base of the prepared stem and fold it in the form of a bud.

For a full rose flower, it is enough to use 6-7 cotton pads, which are laid around the formed bud in the form of petals.

So that all the petals hold on, and the base of the leg looks natural, we wrap the bottom of the bud with the same green thread, thereby connecting the flower to the stem.

Ready-made roses can be hung buds down over the washbasin until completely dry, and at this time you can start making leaves. Take cotton pads and cut out leaf shapes from them.

Paint them in the same way as the petals for the flower, but, of course, green.

Painted leaves also need to be dried. After the disks have dried, open it in half to half and put the end of the wire intended for the leaves there, grease the middle with PVA glue and press both sides of the workpiece. Thus, you will get rose petals.

And, voila! Your cotton pad rose is ready! To give it a more vibrant color, you can sprinkle the finished product with glitter hairspray.

Make a few more roses, painting them in different colors and get a beautiful bouquet that will not fade even after a few years!

If there are small children in the house, keep the bouquet out of their reach to avoid injury from the wire frame. And if you want to involve the kids in the creative process - try to make together a simplified version of a bouquet of roses from cotton pads that use a secure framework.

Callas from cotton pads, master class

As many have already guessed, our flowers are made from ordinary hygienic cotton pads and straws for cocktails. For stamens in this MK, yellow corrugated paper was used, but if it was not at hand, ordinary colored paper or fabric will do.

If your straw is not green, you can easily “repaint” it by wrapping it with green corrugated paper or green thread, winding the entire stem of the future flower round and round.

To form a beautiful calla flower, dip the tip of a cotton pad in water, soaking no more than one third (so it dries faster later).

Using your fingers, gently shape the top of the disk into an elongated arrow shape and twist it slightly, as shown in the photo. With wet hands, also form the entire petal.

Now let's start making stamens: For this, in addition to yellow corrugated paper, we need glue. In the master class, a glue stick was used, but if it is not there, PVA will do. Having smeared with glue, wind the paper around the tip of the stem (about 4 - 5 cm)

Now we have all the components of the calla ready, which remains only to be connected.

We smear the lower part of the petal with PVA glue, wrap it around the stem tube, just below the stamen and leave it to dry.

After drying, we correct the shape of the flower, wetting our fingers in water, in its image and likeness we create the rest. Since it is very easy to make calla lilies from cotton pads, it will hardly take you more than 10 minutes to make one flower.

It remains only to form a beautiful bouquet, and also, if you wish - make a creative vase like the one shown in the photo.

Successful creativity!
