Free "trial apps": choose the best. We play and get acquainted in traffic jams with iPhone

All these dating apps (or the so-called "dating") are so tired that it's almost impossible to find someone there. Every now and then you come across users with other people's photos, easily accessible women (and men), besides, such applications are all monotonous and boring. Which exit?

Where is the easiest place to meet motorists? Of course, in a traffic jam! Even in the regions, traffic jams are now not uncommon, not to mention Moscow or St. Petersburg. In addition, it is in traffic that we are most bored: someone smokes endlessly, some listen to the same media library 100 times, others review the Game of Thrones, and so on.

The developers of the VProbke application were able to "kill" two birds with one stone. Firstly, they released a program for meeting traffic jam neighbors. But they implemented it not like everyone else (questionnaires, boring questions, an endless feed of accounts), but in a playful way. Let's not talk about it in a boring dry language - it's better to show everything.

We log in to the application (for example, using ) and immediately get access to the map of program users. The data is updated in real time, and you can always find out where the user you are interested in is located. All of them are either stuck in traffic or on the road - just like you, they want to find entertainment for themselves.

The game component is that you are invited to upgrade your car, paint it, install body kits, change headlights, wheels and much more. Well, then you take it and “roll up” to the user you like, and you can do this not only literally, but also figuratively - for example, if you are on the Moscow Ring Road, and the chosen one is on Varshavskoye Highway.

Yes, each user has his own virtual car, it turns out very unusual and interesting. As soon as a girl or a man answers your "tackle", you can start a chat. You can cheer up the interlocutor by signaling him, but do not lean too much - it is not safe to constantly be distracted while driving.

Also, all users of the application communicate in the in-game, let's not be afraid of this word, chat - it is not necessary to get to know someone, you can just pass the time in a traffic jam. Pumping your car or not is up to you, of course, but it's much more interesting.

Not without a cool system of achievements, for which they give a nice reward - then you can spend it on upgrading your "baby". I was also pleased with the support for push notifications: you do not need to constantly keep the application open - you are less distracted from the road.

We liked the application in many respects with its unusual approach - you can chat with motorists and play. This combination is very captivating, and so much so that you continue to play not only in the car, but also at home or in the office.

VProbke can be downloaded for free from the link below. There were some built-in purchases, but they are not required at all and are considered a kind of addition. In general, keep it up!

In March, the official launch of the VProbke application took place, which had already been working in test mode for several months and, according to the developers, managed to gather a circle of fans.

The application map shows users' cars in real time. By clicking on the icon of the car you are interested in, a user profile opens - photos, as well as a garage with a virtual car that can be improved and tuned.

If you are interested in one of the users, then you can get to know him (“roll up” - in the terminology of the application), as well as chat with other participants in the general chat.

Naturally, personal correspondence is also provided. But you can only be sent a private message if you have accepted the offer of acquaintance.

Services for road dating have already been on the Russian application market. The difference between VProbke is that it supplemented dating with game mechanisms. By completing various tasks, the user earns in-game currency, which can then be spent on tuning your virtual car, buying a new model, or giving gifts to other participants.

In addition, the developers want to launch a number of other features in the application: a traffic jam map, partner information about various services - gas stations, tire fittings, etc., as well as races.

The application is valid in different countries, but so far exists only in the Russian version. The creators promise to release VProbke in English and Portuguese in the next few months.

According to them, more than 17,000 people have installed the app so far. More than 4 thousand people communicate in it every day. By the end of the year, the team plans to increase the number of app installs to 1 million. The target audience of VProbke is young people, car owners mostly under the age of 35.

“We were surprised by the fact that during the testing of the application there was already a “backbone” of loyal users who meet in reality on a weekly basis,” the developer’s representatives told Telekomblog.

The app is currently only available for iOS devices, with an Android version planned for April.

The project was invented and developed by the brothers Levon Danilyants and Aram Badalyan. Levon Danilyants has previously launched several startups, including Ryba. Meat. Two knives. Investments in the application to date amounted to about 5 million rubles. The company expects to attract additional investments in order to enter the markets of other countries.

VProbke can be downloaded for free. Monetization is carried out through purchases - a profile upgrade, the purchase of a virtual car, gifts to other users.

All this time, the number one for me, as well as for the vast majority of motorists, was Yandex.Maps and Yandex.Navigator. What if there are better ones? applications? Among the free “plug apps”, in addition to the already announced Yandex.Navigator, I singled out seven more for myself: standard iPhone Maps, Google Maps, 2GIS, Waze, Navitel, Progorod and Sygic. However, you can not worry - my story will not be boring and will not take much time.

Standard iPhone cards had to be discarded almost immediately - despite the speed and quite logical interface. The fact is that in this application the numbering of houses is absent in principle. Which is strange, because when you request an address, the navigator leads to the right place. And yet, with so many alternatives, this fact is enough to close the application and no longer use it. I would generally remove it as unnecessary, but the iPhone does not allow this.

Free Navitel maps turned out to be a trial version for six days. The application met with terrible graphics, reminiscent of computer programs under Windows 3.11, - and ultimatum "offered" to download maps of Russia weighing 1.6 GB - no more, no less! In general, here I did not see a single reason why it would be worth spending the phone's memory. With such an application, I do not want to deal even for free. Thankfully, there are plenty of others today.

For the same reasons, I had to reject the Sygic application, which literally forced me to download maps from the doorway (658 MB). And refuse the services of the Progorod program. As in the case of Navitel, Progorod is a trial version with a free trial period of ten days. But that's not the point. A map full of all the colors of the rainbow is an epileptic's nightmare. Performance - with a minus sign. In addition, the program physically did not allow me to choose the residential complex "Microcity in the Forest" as a destination, which all other applications find effortlessly. Thus, two more applications immediately left the list of contenders to replace Yandex.Navigator. Four out of eight remain.

However, each of the remaining programs (Waze, 2GIS, Google Maps and Yandex.Navigator) deserves attention in one way or another.

Waze doesn't have a graphical visual, but it knows the prices at nearby gas stations, shows the average speed for each specific section, and also helps you see the location of your friends if you are logged into the application with your Facebook account and are heading to the same address.

Closes today's pedestal Google Maps. It's completely grown up. application who can be completely trusted. Google shows an adequate time of arrival (the same Waze is overly optimistic) and pleases with visual infographics. You always understand how much time you will spend in a particular traffic jam and instantly know if a faster route has appeared. And yet Google Maps failed to win me over to their side. At first I thought it was just habit. But after meeting with 2GIS, he changed his mind.

The card design is the best I've ever seen. If you don't zoom in too much, only the grid of roads is displayed with color-coded traffic indications. Nothing more - hello, "Progorod"! However, it is worth scaling the map - you can see not only all the organizations located in the building of interest, but also the exact entry point. That is, with "2GIS" you do not have to run around the building in search of the right door.

In the case of large shopping malls you get a layout of shops, ATMs and even toilets by floor. Moreover, everything that I was able to check (with the exception of the data on the editorial office of the magazine "Behind the wheel") is absolutely relevant.

As for the guidance along the route, here questions sometimes arise for 2GIS. The application can “paint” in yellow both completely free sections of the road and segments with dead traffic jams. The ones that Yandex.Navigator fills with burgundy. The predicted time at the beginning of the route is slightly more optimistic than that of Yandex, but it gradually increases along the way, and as a result, the main competitor turns out to be more accurate. For example, 2GIS gave me 50 minutes to travel from the Mitino metro station to the editorial office of Za Rulem in Seliverstov Lane. "Yandex.Navigator" - a little over an hour. We managed to get to work in exactly an hour, but Yandex showed real difficulties in the areas much more accurately.

Or it can fill a very busy segment with a completely unintimidating yellow color. It took a little over ten minutes to cross the Tverskaya.

In general, after writing this article, I will continue to use Yandex.Navigator as the main tool to help build the best route and predict the time, but 2GIS will also remain on the phone. Despite the fact that sometimes the application looks too optimistic about things, a couple of times it has already helped to find an unusual route. While "Yandex" almost always leads you along the main highways, "2GIS" better navigates in small lanes and shows more flexibility.

By the way, what "cork apps" do you use?
