The effect of regrown roots in blondes is the most fashionable trend of the season. The effect of regrown roots in blondes is the most fashionable trend of the season What to do with regrown roots

Regrown hair roots is a problem that occurs every two weeks for everyone who dyes their hair for one reason or another.

But dyeing your hair every 14 days in most cases is dangerous for the hair and scalp, it takes time and additional costs.

Therefore, I suggest that you get acquainted with the tips of professional hairdresser-colorist Mike Petrezzi, which will help you get through this difficult and unpleasant time before touching up the roots.

Tip 1

To increase the period between a visit to the hairdresser and subsequent coloring, you can do one of the complex stains, which include, for example, bronding (when chocolate and light shades are mixed) and ombre (smooth transition from one shade to another contrasting with it).

Such staining will help hide your overgrown roots from 1.5 to 3 months. But this rule will only work if your main shade of the dye is a tone or two lighter than your natural hair color.

Tip 2

If we talk about how to hide overgrown roots with a haircut, then a multi-tiered haircut and voluminous bangs are suitable for this. In general, any volume in the hair helps to hide regrown roots.

You don't have to cut your hair to do this. Therefore, if you have long straight hair, the question is how to hide regrown hair, then give it volume at the roots. One option might be to blow dry your hair with your head down.

Tip 3

If you think that a sleek pony style will help you hide the regrown roots, you are mistaken. In the face, they will be even more noticeable than when the hair was loose.

It is better to lift the hair at the roots, tousling them. How to do it: Apply texturizer to damp hair, blow-dry randomly. Then apply serum or argan oil - they will give a healthy shine to the hair.

Gather your hair in a bun at the back of your head or at the crown, leaving as many roosters as possible.

Tip 4

You can hide regrown roots with hair accessories. To do this, fasten the hairpin to the place where you have the least visible regrown hair and gray hair. Or use an old headband that has been on the shelf for many years because of its uselessness.

The kerchief is a special cover option. You can tie it around your head as a headband or as a turban. But do not forget to think about your image as a whole, so as not to look like an urban crazy.

Tip 5

Apply volumizing foam or spray to the hair, then divide all the hair, for example, into six parts and wind each part on large curlers.

Then dry your hair with a hairdryer for about three minutes. Let the hair cool down for 10-15 minutes. Remove the curlers, use your hands to style your hair the way you want.

Tip 6

Make an uneven parting if you do not have time for other hair manipulations.

Tip 7

Wash your hair often, as the fatter your hair becomes, the more noticeable your natural hair color or gray hair.

Since daily washing leads to the fact that the scalp secretes more oil, it spoils the structure of the hair, keep dry shampoo in the bathroom - it will help you out. You can alternate it with your regular shampoo.

When experiments are tired, the best solution seems to be to restore the natural hair color. But before you decide, think: do you really need it? Relax.by learned from a hairdresser-colorist Daria Neva, how to return the natural shade and how much you have to spend on it.

- Let's immediately decide that the phrase "return your hair color" is incorrect. It is impossible to become natural again with coloring in one or several stages. When you started dyeing or bleaching, your natural pigment was removed from your hair, and an artificial one was put in its place. That is to pull out, in fact, there is nothing.

Therefore, even if you dye your hair in a color close to natural, it will not be yours. This is an artificial pigment that requires some care and constant maintenance.

From any color you can go to natural shade?

“You can get into something natural from any color. The only exception is henna and basma. If you have used them before, the master will most likely refuse you. Because of such products, the results of staining can be completely unpredictable: spots, stripes, marsh shade. Most often, it turns out just a dirty green color, which is difficult to cover even with a dark pigment. All this usually ends up with most of the hair having to be parted.

All other options one way or another can be brought to natural.

Which is harder to get out of: blonde or brunette?

- The exit from the blond and from the dark shades are fundamentally different procedures. dark shades you need to wash off, lighten, and light ones - fill with pigment. The time of such staining is on average from 3 to 7-8 hours.

More time and effort will have to be spent on lightening dark hair. In one procedure, something acceptable can be obtained only in the most ideal case: if a good master worked with your hair before and only on professional dyes. This procedure is sometimes several times more expensive than leaving the blond: it is better to part with the dark in 3-4 stages in a month. And all this month you will have to fight for the quality of your hair.

You can easily say goodbye to the blond in one go. The time for the procedure depends only on the initial condition of the hair. For my taste, the exit from light shades is much more interesting than from dark colors. Usually I do this through the red color: first, the hair is filled with warm natural pigment, which was washed with lightening, and then a natural shade is applied to it. This procedure allows you to increase the wearing time of natural color.

What are the first consequences?

- When going into natural colors from dark ones, you can get excessive dryness, brittleness, dullness and “ruffiness” of the hair, especially if the lightening was aggressive. From now on, they need care and smoothing of the scales. This effect can be achieved using the glossing procedure, but I do not recommend using keratin for this purpose.

After the blonde, the biggest problem is the rapid washing out of the natural color. This happens because bleached hair is porous, it does not just have scales raised, but holes appear through which the pigment leaves very quickly.

Is it possible to get into the natural color so that the growing roots are not visible?

- A fairly accurate hit in your color can be achieved if you come to the staining with regrown roots. But this method is more suitable for blondes. Then the master will have something to build on, and not guess from the photographs what your natural color is. And even when the dye is washed off along the length, and the roots grow, there will be no clear boundary between them.

With dark hair, there is another loophole - for example, the Kapous brand has a wash that washes out artificial pigment, but does not touch your own. Then it’s easier to choose the right shade and you won’t have to work with flaws after brightening powder.

How to choose hair care after returning to a natural shade?

- You will need a high-quality care series for colored hair. This is necessary so that the color close to yours stays on the hair for as long as possible. If you go deeper, when choosing a shampoo and balm, you need to focus on PH and sulfate content. In dyed hair, ph is shifted to the acid side - at a level of 4.5 to 5.5. In this range, and look for funds. Yes, sellers in far from all stores will help you with this, so count on yourself.

I'm not against sulfates in general - it's just a blowing agent. But if we consider the issue globally, then they act a little more aggressively on the hair and wash out the artificial pigment faster. Therefore, while maintaining color, it is better to take a sulfate-free product.

What complexes can be taken into account?

We must not forget about the regular struggle for the quality and health of hair: masks, balms, thermal protection. Another cool thing is a special vinegar for colored hair. It perfectly helps to preserve color and smoothes the structure.

I don't trust mass-market hair color ranges: it's a delicate, delicate matter. I don’t believe in their sensitive ph balance, and the sulfate content in them goes off scale. But this does not mean that you have to spend crazy money on care - the Korean cosmetics market is very good in this regard, and there you will always find a detailed composition of the product.

How to mask the roots, if you are determined to grow natural hair?

It's harder for brunettes. At first, you can hide the roots with special colored powders. But this remedy will help up to a maximum of 3 centimeters of the regrown root. And then, if blondes have a root that looks like dark hair against a light background, then a brunette has a light root - like a bald head. This situation can be corrected with tinting shampoos, but not household ones. Otherwise, they will clog their hair with pigment so much that all the torment will go down the drain. Also, be prepared for the fact that you will not find black tinted shampoos.

If you are determined to grow your hair, but the roots somehow need to be masked, then dark hair small highlights can help to somehow brighten up the contrasting transition of your hair into a dark growing paint. Only the dark part is highlighted without affecting the root and tinted closer to its color. It is cheaper than a full-fledged way out of the dark, but it will allow you not to look like growing-groomed.

Of course, growing out is the surest way to get your hair color. But I can’t imagine a girl who can have so much patience and strength.

Can I dye my own natural color?

“That's the wildest idea you can think of. As practice shows, even in an even black color, girls often cannot paint themselves evenly.

Coming out of a dark color is a complex process of matching oxide to each part of the hair. Otherwise, you will get a whitish root, orange length and brown ends. All this will have to be infinitely lightened, and at the end you will have a very bad looking square.

With each step of the home “I myself”, you add work to the master and make the procedure more expensive. It seems to you that you are only doing better, but in fact the work from 4 hours will turn into 6-7, and 100 rubles for coloring will be transformed into 150. Therefore, it is better to ask and hear “no” than to do and regret.

Is it worth it to suffer: suddenly I don’t like myself with natural color?

- Natural color is different for natural. No one forces you after that to walk all your life only with your color. You can choose a shade just a tone or two darker or lighter than natural, thereby shading and emphasizing the eyes and skin color. Unlike blue-black or yellowish blond, which is not for everyone.

No need to worry that staining is a definite harm. Now there are enough options to get a beautiful color and do no harm: for example, Baby-lights or gloss, after which the hair will become a little lighter.

Useful blitz

- Can I have a hair color like in this photo?

- You can get exactly the same coloring as in the picture, roughly speaking, from the hair with the initial data that was in this very picture before the final photo. Hair hair strife.

No need to limit yourself to one photo. good master will always give you advice on what will be best for you. To do this, you should not be lazy to come for a consultation, and if it is not possible, take 10 photos from different angles and in different light before going to the master.

— How much can it NOT cost to get a natural color?

- If I once dye my hair in my color, then it remains just to grow it?

- If you want to look well-groomed, you will have to tint your hair every 3-4 weeks. And this is not a problem of the quality of dyeing, but the physics of hair. The fact that the hair turns yellow is normal and normal! Yellow is a natural pigment that you get rid of only when you turn gray.

I come to you with my problem! My hair grows... fast...
Just don’t throw slippers!) This is happiness, of course, but ...

This is a view of the top of my head 17 days after I dyed my hair.

And here it is a month later:

About 2 cm of gray hair.

She used to cope with heavy artillery - she dyed her hair every two weeks. Sometimes even 9% oxide, as my hairdresser advised, but more often 6% - it was a pity for the hair. Already 5 years.
Results:

That's such a joy good growth hair) and a problem (gray hair) in one bottle.

The decision came unexpectedly.
About a year ago I stumbled across this

Hair spray `LOREAL` `MAGIC RETOUCH`
Possible colors: black, cold chestnut, dark chestnut, chestnut, mahogany, blond, light blond, very light blond.
The price is 300-400 rubles, the volume is 75 ml.

Which one to choose? I dye my hair with color 7.1 (ashy blond), so I bought a spray of light brown shade (well, at least not blond).

Well, is it beauty?

The gray hair was painted over, during the day it is not particularly erased. This is what it looks like on the second day:

I rejoiced until I saw my crown in the sunlight:

A whitish matte stripe is clearly visible. It's just that the color of the spray for my hair turned out to be too light to paint over the gray hair, I applied the product abundantly.

I bought a tone lower - chestnut.
Result:

the far end of the parting was not finished
I am pleased

Let's take a closer look at my assistant.

Spray for painting regrown roots MAGIC RETOUCH "Chestnut" provides an instant effect of the absence of gray hair. The tool dries instantly and gives the result before the first shampoo. Quickly and evenly applied, washed off with regular shampoo.

The manufacturer promises

On the back of the can there is information about the manufacturer and application instructions.

The manufacturer tried to help us with choosing the right color.

Here is a rough comparison of spray colors and my paint.

If in doubt between two shades, I would advise choosing a darker one. In this case, for a good coloring, you can apply less product, it is more invisible, it looks more natural.

The composition of the spray is not listed on this label.
On the L'Oreal website:
INGREDIENTS
A can of coloring tonic.

If you peel off the label, you can read information about the spray in Ukrainian and Kazakh, as well as precautions for handling aerosol cans.

Finally found the ingredients:
ISOBUTANE - aerosol can filler. Causes allergies and skin irritation. May contain butadiene (a carcinogen) as impurities.
ETHYL TRISILOXANE - viscosity control. (Everything that I understood from surfing on the Internet is not particularly dangerous)
IRON OXIDES - Natural dye. Safe when used as directed.
TITANIUN DIOXIDE is a dye used to give the product a white color. Not toxic.
TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE is a high polymer silicone used in the manufacture of cosmeceuticals and professional tools for hair. They are also used in sunscreen cosmetics.
TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE - Silicone based emulsifier. May cause skin irritation and dryness. Pollutes the environment.
METHYL TRIMETHICONE - Solvent, skin and hair conditioner, adds shine to hair, lubricating agent. May cause skin irritation.

Well, well ... Not very natural, but not "horror-horror." The use in small doses is quite acceptable for me (it almost does not get on the skin).

The cover is removed simply, without threads and clicks.

The spray is very easy to use. The size of the can is perfect for me, fits comfortably in the palm of my hand. A recess is provided for the pressing finger (even with a ribbed surface so that it does not slip off). Ergonomics are perfect
The nozzle is small, about 0.8mm. The spray is fine. If you press weakly and uncertainly, larger droplets can fly out. In the photo they can be seen along the edges of colored spots.

Separately, I want to note that you need to apply it carefully, it's still paint. Do not spray near white furniture or clothing free hand visor under the bangs, protecting the face. Washes off the skin with soap. You can try to just wipe it off, but the paint remains in the pores. If I applied a little more than I wanted, I quickly comb my hair, stretching the color. After the paint dries, you can comb it, but it’s better not often). Holds up well. If you do not particularly touch, then the effect is enough for a day. During the day there is a slight feeling of dirty hair, but since I do not apply to the entire head, this does not bother me. I do not process ALL roots (tedious, feeling of a dirty head, high paint consumption). While there is little gray hair that has grown back, I apply the spray only on the parting, I can wear loose hair. When the gray hair begins to catch the eye from afar, i.e. about the 4th week, I put my hair in my hair and process all the visible roots (parting and roots of the bangs), otherwise when the gray hair is loose, it glows with any movement of the hair.

Here is a solution that was found in order not to dye your hair with aggressive dyes too often.
If someone can suggest an alternative, I'd be very happy!
Or maybe dye your hair blonde so that the gray hair is invisible

The hair thrown to the side will hide the discrepancy between the shades between the roots and ends. Moreover, you don’t even need to bathe with curling your hair and styling: with a certain turn of your head, no one will even notice that last month you overslept a visit to the hairdresser.

Parting criss-cross

It can be argued that this is not styling at all, but simply carelessly styled hair that appeared as a result of erratic night rolling on the pillow. But that was in the 90s, today only hardworking bees like actress Julianne Hough can style their hair crosswise. By the way, a zigzag hoop will have the same effect (remember, these were also popular in the 90s): it will divert attention from the transition between dyed hair and roots that have not known paint for a long time.

Maria Sozinova, stylist at Britana Beauty Studio

“Any voluminous hairstyle will help hide regrown roots. Tie your hair with a scarf or put it in a turban are also good options. But most importantly - do not try to repeat the effect of wet hair and do not make tight and smooth styling, this will only aggravate the situation.

body waves

Clearly formed waves were actively advertised at the time of the ombre fashion: they say that such a hairstyle will best emphasize the transition from the roots to the tips. Use this rule now, when, only with a slight amendment: the volume should now start right from the very roots.

Braid-crown

If you have the strength and ability to weave this, then this is your way out: such a “hoop” draws attention to itself and distracts from the difference in shades on the head.

Scythe turning into a tail

Again, mastery of disguise in action: start braiding at the crown and finish at the back of the head, making the tail as long as possible. How harder weaving, the more it distracts from regrown roots.

low beam

Not just low, but also sloppy. With indispensable strands released from the face.

Bandana

Headband, bandana or stars and bloggers. More summery than winter version so keep it in your future plans.

Hi all!

background

For many long years I have been dyeing my hair blonde, sometimes with household paint, sometimes with professional dyes. But only in recent years I began to take care of my hair, make masks, smear oils, in a word, I began to spend money on hair care products.

In June 2018, for the last time, I painted myself with Estelev paint. When I washed it off, then, in principle, as usual, the hair that fell out remained in my hands ... By this bouquet of beauty, I fell ill and needed a long-term treatment, which actively influenced hair loss. I finally realized that I can no longer continue to paint every month! It was decided not to paint at all.

Every person who has grown their hair color knows that the hands are very itchy to paint over the roots. I was lucky that the native color did not stand out brightly on the already yellowed blond. Already in November, I felt how enraged I was to be unkempt yellow-haired with an even strip of regrown roots.

I began to look for options on how to paint rarely, but remain a well-groomed blonde. And came to frequent highlighting! After going through the entire Internet, it became clear that it would not work to do such coloring on your own, everything is too painstaking.

My hair before coloring looked like this, to be honest, it seems even a little branch roots for half a year:

In ordinary photos, I tried to adjust the filters so that yellowness and overgrown roots would not be visible.

It's been two to three months since the last staining on my own. You can see yellowness, slightly regrown roots, but overall still tolerable.

And this is in a few days for painting. I haven’t dyed my hair for six months, they already look even more blond than blond:

Price

In salons, such coloring is usually called complex, because. it takes a long time. For my length, a different amount was announced from 6,500 to 15 thousand. I also found training centers where, under the supervision of a teacher, students will paint you. There sounded the price of 2500, but I did not want to risk the already worn out hair. As a result, I dyed my hair at the hairdresser on the advice of relatives, at home, for a little over 5,000 rubles.

Process

I couldn't believe that it could take SO long. I felt sorry for the master, but my own neck was numb. We sat for 5 hours for highlighting, and then an hour for toning and cutting the ends.

The master separates a thin strand, and using Estelle powder, paints over part of the hairs from the strand, then wraps it in foil. Because I had frequent highlighting, then the strands were thinner and dyed more often.

The master periodically checked how the paint seized under the foil.

When all the strands were highlighted, we washed the composition from the hair.

The next day we toned my yellow hair - a washed out blonde. Tinted with Matrix + 2% oxide. There was no unpleasant smell at all due to the low percentage of oxide.

Of course, after dyeing, the hair is not much dry at the ends, you need to re-nourish them with oils and masks. But now the roots will grow much neater and not look like one even strip! This means that you do not have to tint the roots every month and spoil the hair again.
